Me describiría a mi mismo como
I’m a retired Electrical Engineer from the aerospace industry where I worked on cutting edge technology for the military. I enjoyed a fantastic career and was deeply involved activities even the day I walked out. That was years ago and I have never looked back.
Since retiring, I am blessed to spend time doing the things I enjoy. In warmer weather I enjoy being outside in the yard or especially around the water. Lake Erie and the islands are my favorite place to spend summers. I never miss an opportunity to share sunsets with close friends and a beverage.
In cooler months, I spend time in my workshop building furniture for our children and grandchildren. As I write thus, I am building a desk for our youngest grandson. If I am not in my workshop, I’m busy doing a remodeling project for someone in the family.
I’ve never been much of a spectator, I much prefer doing to watching. Sporting events simply lack appeal and I seldom watch any of them.
Given a choice, I prefer a group of 4-8 people instead of a large party, because there is time for much more meaningful conversations where I can get to know and understand each person.
My wife if 53 years passed away after a long struggle with bone marrow cancer. I am learning to cope with my new life, and miss being around people. I miss simple conversations, going out to dinner, going to a movie or concert or show, even shopping.
I believe in love, and I believe it is possible to love again. But I believe you must be friends and genuinely know and care for someone before anything else can happen.
